Camp Description

The overnight summer camp is designed for any player looking to develop and improve their baseball skills. Each camper will receive a great deal of individual instruction along with learning team practices and techniques of the fundamentals of baseball. Camper will learn skills in catching, hitting, bunting, fielding, throwing, and baserunning. Tiger Baseball Camps are dedicated to the development and growth of all campers who attend. Camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).

 

Merchandise

• Clemson Baseball draw string backpack

*Any registration received after June 13^th will not be eligible for a custom name and number. After the cutoff date, the camper’s jersey will come with a blank back.

Additional Clemson Baseball merchandise will be available to purchase at this session at the camp store.

 

Camp Check-in

The camp check-in time will be on Sunday, July 13^th between 3pm and 5pm. Each camper will check-in at Doug Kingsmore stadium to receive their camp information and dorm key. The campers will then have the opportunity to move in their belongings into the dorms and then meet back at Tiger Field at 5:30pm for camp orientation. Once our camp orientation is complete, the week will begin! Parents are encouraged, but not obligated, to stick around for camp orientation.

 

Daily Schedule

The overnight summer baseball camps consist a Sunday to Wednesday schedule full of baseball activity. Under close supervision, each camper will practice and play games daily and work on specific skills building on the week before as the week goes on. Each day campers will focus on defensive fundamentals and skills in the morning along with a fundamental of the day. During the afternoon and evening sessions, the campers will participate in team activities, involving team skills and fun and energetic games on Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Each camper plays an active role in camp and are continually involved in drills of all aspects. Camp will conclude on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00PM with a closing ceremonies at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Typical Daily Schedule (subject to change)

• 7:00AM – Wake-up and Campers go to breakfast
• 8:15AM – Meet at stadium for morning introduction
• 8:30AM – Morning Fundamental Lecture
• 9:00AM – Defensive Breakdown by Position
• 11:45AM – Lunch
• 2:00 – 4:00PM – Hitting / Practice Session / Games
• 4:00 – 6:00PM – Dinner
• 6:00 – 8:30PM – Hitting / Practice Session / Games
• 10:00PM – Lights Out

 

The Clemson Experience

Here at Clemson we are devoted to allowing each camper to get the full Clemson experience. We want each camper to experience firsthand at what it’s like to be a college student and Clemson baseball player. Each camper will stay on campus in a local dormitory and eat each meal in the Clemson cafeteria. All campers will have access to the Clemson Baseball practice facilities and have the privilege of playing on Tiger Field.

 

Coaching Staff

The Tiger Baseball Camp coaching staff will consist of some members of the current Clemson Baseball coaching staff, current and former players, and other highly skilled college and high school coaches from all over the east coast. Our camp coaches are trained on the camp policies and procedures and some have over 30 years’ experience with the Clemson Baseball Camp tradition.

 

Housing and meals

For the overnight campers, each person will be housed in one of our local air-conditioned dormitories on Clemson’s campus, with two campers per room. Roommate preference may be specified. Please make known to us your roommate preference when completing your registration. Both campers must indicate their desire to be roommates upon registration. Close adult supervision will be obtained on each residence hall for the camp. Our campers will also be grouped by age in the dorms.

Roommate requests made after two weeks prior to camp can not be guaranteed.

All meals will be served in the local dining hall on campus. The dining hall includes many buffet options including a wide variety of nutritional offerings along with notification of allergy and gluten restrictions. Camp Bank

The camp will offer a camp bank that each camper may deposit cash into during the Sunday registration process to make sure their money is kept in a safe and secure place. Each night at the field, the campers will have the opportunity to withdraw any cash they would like for the night. On Wednesday night, whatever cash the camper has left in the bank, all of it will be given back to the camper. Please note that the bank will NOT be open on Sunday night so please keep out any cash you may need for Sunday.

 

Camp Waivers / Medical Form Information

Medical forms/Waivers are available through the registration website. Please download, complete, and print the medical paperwork and waivers to bring with you to registration. All medical waiver information must be completed.

Campers may bring a copy of their school physical as long as it has been completed within one year prior to the first day of camp. All campers must bring a completed medical form and camp waiver along with copy of school physical. If your local doctor has signed the medical form, a copy of a physical is not necessary. If you bring a copy of a current physical, the doctor’s signature on the medical form is not necessary.

Along with the medical form, please make you complete and sign the “Acknowledgement of Responsibility and Indemnification Form for Minors” waiver. This waiver will need to be submitted at time of check-in.

Directions from I-85

Take I-85 to exit #19B. Exit toward Clemson. Follow Hwy 76/28 West for about 12 miles. Nearing the Clemson campus turn left on to Perimeter Road. Follow for approximately 2 miles, and right near the football stadium, and basketball facility you will see Doug Kingsmore Stadium (Home of the Clemson Baseball Tigers).

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can 3 kids share a dorm room? The dorm rooms are set up with only two twin extra-long beds.
2. What size sheets should I bring? Each camper will need to bring twin extra-long sheets for their bed
3. Does my camper need to bring a water bottle? Cups, water, and Gatorade are provided throughout the camp.
4. Can you use a high school physical to replace a camp physical? Yes, but you must still fill out the camp physical with your insurance information and contact numbers on it. You must also sign the liability waiver. Bring all medical and camp waivers with you at camp check-in.

6. Can my son move up to an older group if his abilities show that he is ready for it? Absolutely. Each kid will be evaluated on Sunday afternoon and we will try to place them at the appropriate challenge level. Your camper must speak up if he has an interest in moving up to an older group.
